The Bradfield Centre, named in honour of Sir John Bradfield a Senior Bursar at Trinity College who was instrumental in the development of the Cambridge Science Park, affords state-of-the-art office facilities for entrepreneurial tech. businesses. The development spread over three-storeys provides 4,000m2 office space combined with boardrooms, meeting rooms, generous break-out spaces, a 100-seat auditorium and commercial scale kitchen / dining facilities.
The Centre’s key aim is to attract ambitious, like-minded entrepreneurs and companies from both Cambridge and around the world. To co-locate them into all-inclusive, high tech. facilities; to immerse them in a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and connect them to investors, mentors and potential customers – major partners already include the University of Cambridge, Amazon, Autodesk and Google.
The Bradfield Centre was designed to achieve a BREEAM “Excellent” rating, it sets the standard for best practice in sustainable buildings, the construction and operation thereof.

The building ‘breaths’ - employees productivity benefits from natural ventilation systems and improved air quality which reduces the potential for allergies, asthma and colds
Lighting throughout the building is provided by low energy, high efficiency bulbs and is controlled by PIR motion detectors to reduce energy wastage
Individual room temperatures are monitored and controlled by the building’s energy management system. A combination of reverse cycle air source heat pumps concealed within the walls to provide comfort cooling during the peak summer periods and heating to the occupied spaces during the winter months. Supplementary heating to circulation and utility areas is provided by gas fired / low NOx condensing boilers.
